In Cool Company (ICC) is the holding brand for the business lines of Kenton and Jazz
Cool. Kenton is a mountaineer and adventurer. He works with private clients as a
mountain guide and trek leader, with corporate clients for collaborations, advertising
campaigns and sponsorship and with agencies for guest speaking opportunities. Jazz is a
corporate trainer and executive coach. She works with organisations and individuals to
develop professional skills such as leadership, sales, negotiation, presentation techniques
and service excellence. She also works with executives as a strategy and people coach.

delivering results to both brands and individuals. We have created the opportunity for
another, like-minded person to join our team on a full-time basis and to experience the
dynamic and exciting environment that our service offering provides.


Your Brief:


As the VIR you are driven and ambitious. You provide memorable experiences for clients
while also supplying high levels of support to Kenton and Jazz, collaborating with them on
securing new business and developing existing relationships for the ICC brand. Business
development areas include: guest speaking, corporate training, executive retreats,
trekking holidays, executive coaching, brand campaigns, collaborations and
merchandising. Role success is measured via tangible uplifts in these business
development areas. Your relationship to Kenton and Jazz is as a team member,
collaborator, organiser and fixer.


Your Responsibilities:

– Establish and maintain new corporate and individual relationships with target clients
and agencies for guest speaking, corporate training, executive coaching, trekking
and expeditions. Maintain and scale relationships with existing clients and
agencies.

– Engage with and secure new sponsors while maintaining and safeguarding existing
sponsor relationships (clothing, technical clothing, equipment, jewellery, eyewear,
skincare, vehicles, footwear, technology).

– Assist in campaign creation, both alongside brands as well as providing campaign
treatments to put forward to brands. Secure product and ambassador
collaborations with brands.

– Management of social media platforms (such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram,
Blogs, YouTube channel). Expand the audience and enhance social influence to
develop the brand, create more engagement and boost follower-count organically.
Engage with chat groups, forums and industry information sites to drive brand
awareness and attract new clients. Assist in creating content for social media
platforms.

– Podcast management – both Cool Conversations and appearances on other
podcasts.

– Website management and development. First point of contact for new client
enquiries (via website, email, DM or telephone). Provide outstanding client service
when dealing with queries from existing clients. Administrative responsibility for
invoicing, travel arrangements, scheduling and logistics. Management of
merchandising site alongside developing brand-bespoke merchandise and ICC
team clothing.

– Develop strong PR and press partnerships. Secure reliable and on-brand filming
and photography partnerships.

– Research and manage philanthropic partnerships on behalf of ICC.

– Assist with advertising, securing and managing ICC Treks and ICC Executive
Retreats.

– Assist in the development of coaching questionnaires, personal playbooks and
ancillary learning and development materials. Manage the publication of new
written work such as books and novels.

– Attend networking/gala events alongside Kenton and Jazz when appropriate.

– Assist in the day-to-day running of ‘Team Cool’ when appropriate and by
agreement.

– Management of ICC brand – branding slogans and hashtags, brand ethics and
values, brand purpose and brand reach.

– Research and manage continuing professional development for the ICC team.

– Manage team meetings and development sessions.

– Regular reporting on key performance indicators, pipeline management and
conversion rates. Track campaign performance, collate client feedback.

– Pursue personal projects as part of the ICC collaboration.

You Demonstrate:

– An excellent understanding of the relationship between client, agency and service
provider as well as a clear grasp on the role of the brand ambassador. An
awareness of the cultural differences between the outdoor industry, agencies and
the corporate environment.

– First-rate, tried and tested networking and cold calling techniques.

– Exceptional skill at developing rapport with clients by employing fantastic
questioning and listening techniques.

– An assured ability to share the ICC brand passions and purpose in a clear, credible
and inspiring manner.

– Confidence when communicating at all levels; comfortable to influence and
negotiate while being happy to challenge and be assertive.

– Excellence at communicating across all formats (written, voice, presentations).

– Confidence when working on multiple projects within a global time zone.

– An interest in and an understanding of the importance of fitness and nutrition to the
ICC brand.
