20th Summit Achieved
On 22nd May 2026, Kenton successfully summited Mount Everest for an awe-inspiring 20th time.
Kenton broke his own record for most summits by a non-Sherpa and he did it with his #1 Sherpa guide, Dorjee Gyeljen, by his side, who achieved his 25th summit.

- Mount Everest sits at 8,848.86 metres above sea level, according to the most recent survey in 2020
- Due to tectonic activity, Everest grows by approximately 4 inches per year!
- Everest is regularly personified as a queen or goddess, and referred to with the pronouns 'she' and 'her'
- In Nepal the mountain is called 'Sagarmatha' and in Tibet, she is called Chomolungma
- The summit is often blasted with jet stream winds of up to 200mph, making accurate weather forecasting for Everest mountaineers extremely important
